Summer Beach
Despite the lower than normal temperatures, it is June and it is bound to get warmer soon. That said, I'm loving this type of weather as I'm not a big fan of the three H summer weather (That is hot, humid and hazy by the way:-)

Looking through my stash, I found a small kit of seed beads that was labeled "Summer Beach" kit. I got it several years ago when I attended a Kumihimo Meet Up on Cape Cod. Thanks to Sally Battis for the kit. Too much else going on at the time but, finally, I finished it and here it is.

I decided to play around with some props while taking pictures. Good choice was this shell. I know the color combination was not good but it was just for fun. I guess they would all blend in with the sand.

While I was at it, I tried a different view. Too much time on my hands? It is listed on my website here.

I have also been working on a new necklace named "Day Lilly".  I'll show you next time. I do expect it to be finished soon.

Circles Delight

Circles Delight

I promised to show you the, now finished, new necklace I told you about last week. It uses the same circles I used in the earrings and pendant. Different arrangement of course and a few additions.
Here is a close up of the focal section. I do have it listed on the website with a special Introductory price.
Since the necklace is really a special order because you choose the colors of the Swarovski crystals, I decided an Introductory price would help get the ball rolling, so to speak. I have three shows scheduled in the near future plus I need to get busy working on the upcoming gift season. My need is your saving.
The necklace shown is for my grandchildren's birthstones. (You can see December is a popular month in the family) There are seven but any arrangement would look nice. You can have a larger or different shape for the parents, or just favorite colors. The choices are limited only to your imagination.

Let me know what your choice is, I'll be ready.
 Until next week,

Bev

Finished Resin Bracelet

Finished Resin Bracelet
Well, almost anyhow. I'm not rally satisfied with all of the charms. I learned some things in finishing. As I added the final coats, deciding how much to add was one thing but the most important thing was to use enough light so I could see exactly where the resin was going. Sounds simple doesn't it? I do plan on tweaking some of the charms on a nice sunny day. Remembering to use good lighting while adding the resin.

I watched several videos from the lady who invented the brand I'm using.
I also did some searching looking for ideas of what to use in the charms. (The design aspect) Fun! I'm looking forward to making more.

Here is a look at the (almost) finished bracelet:

When you look closely, can you see the flaws. Mostly resin not going to the edges or not enough resin. But I really like it. I'm thinking that because there are endless possibilities
it makes a problem. Strange but true. So, any suggestions?

Here is a close up of one of the better charms. I think it would look  nice as a pendant in a larger size. What do you think?

Remember Mother's Day (May 10) is coming soon. Here is a video I made with some suggestions.  Send me an email with any questions or to order.

Until next time,
