Chain Maille bracelet
This is one of my favorite Chain Maille bracelets for several reasons. First I really love the clasp. Sunflowers are such fun and it really makes the fairly simple bracelet, "pop".
Second the Chain Maille pattern, Half Persian, has a reputation of being hard to do. Therefore, if I have mastered it, whoo, who! It really isn't hard to do, just hard to start.
Here is a close up of the clasp and Chain Maille pattern.
I mentioned awhile ago that I set up a new shop on http://www.bevsjewery.1000markets.com/
I've been very impressed with this new venue for artists. The look is beautiful both for shops and buyers. I have purchased several items myself and have been very pleased with both the quality of the products and with the buying experience.
I'm slowly increasing the pieces I have in my shop. I still have my original web site http://www.bevsjewelry.com/ (I need to do some work on that too)
Let me know what you think of these shops.

I love the clasp too, Bev. 1000 Markets shop looks very professional - I like the look and how you have everything set up. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWish I had more time to work on mine, and still have time to be mom, wife, artist. *sigh*
I'm trying a hand on chainmaille and started with a Byzantine chain made of copper wire. Had a false start with the wire gauge being to thin (the rings turned over), but it works.
ReplyDeleteWould you recommend Half Persian for my second project?
Gayle, ah yes, more time. That doesn't change when you retire either. Just seems as if you have more control over what your priorities are.
ReplyDeleteKokopelli, Good start by doing Byzantine. I'm not sure half persian would be best if you haven't done others. You can have lots of fun making variations of Byzantine and getting very different looks. If you would like some ideas for Byzantine variations let me know. Bev
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clasp! I agree with you 100%. Most chain maille weaves are relatively easy once you get it started. Pearl
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Bev! It's hard to find chain maille instructions for beginners on the internet.
ReplyDeleteI searched your blog a bit ad I like the Romanov and the Olivia variation. I'd like to try them and maybe you can give me some hints or instructions.
Wow how pretty Bev! Great work, as always!

I like this bracelet. Simple and graceful - it was a difficult job to combine it!
